As a Saas + Cloud Consultant for Oracle, I built awareness of the importance of the user and often wondered how to make decisions earlier than the implementation process that could positively impact and delight the end-user while exceeding business requirements.

Now, as a UX Designer, I aim to balance the big-picture business strategy with empathy for the user throughout the entire process. 

Freelance Work

For this remote partnership with a team in Detroit, I am currently researching and defining the problem space and personas for a IOS app to activate early positive body-image talk for parents of young girls. From this research, I plan to prototype and iterate by July. The prototypes will be handed off to a group of developers in an incubator in Detroit. 

GoBambino

As a UX Consultant for a startup here in NYC, I advocated for the realistic user of a new web and IOS product. My team of 4 presented research, prototypes and usability test results to the cofounders of this start-up to communicate our viable and strategic changes that lead to a measurable, significant increase in task completion rates and a decrease in time to complete the task.

We also articulated critical but larger-scale changes that could be implemented more slowly to increase value for users and facilitate retention. We will continue to work with the development team in Russia to implement these technical changes moving forward.

Oracle

As a Saas and Cloud consultant for Oracle, I adapted and transformed legacy business processes to more efficient strategies by coordinating across teams, stakeholders and businesses. This required strategic thinking, flexibility to work with different teams and personalities, and the ability to work hands-on and communicate with unsatisfied end users. For my largest client, a fast-food chain based in Atlanta, I aligned big-picture business requirements with the learned and observed needs of the day-to-day users of the product by conducting ad-hoc interviews and informal usability tests. 

For this position, I also strengthened partner relationships with stakeholders and business operators with individualized sales presentations and learning/usability workshops. I also converted raw data and requirements into actionable implementation decisions and goals.
